Handmade in India

Inspired by a vintage silhouette, and crafted with handloom fabric ~ a rare and exclusive sustainably handmade textile in modern times. This intentionally oversized maxi length design in Taupe features a poet-style collar with optional tie, romantic billowy sleeves finished with soft elasticated cuffs, thigh high split on both sides, and pockets at the hip.

Material ~ 100% Handloom Cotton.

The Poet Maxi is designed to be an oversized fit. If you prefer a more fitted style we recommend sizing down.

Garment Care ~ We recommend a gentle, cold water hand wash using natural detergents, and hang drying in the shade. Handcrafted garments are delicate, however, designed to last when treated mindfully with love and care.

The only of its kind

Our order of hand loomed fabric was distributed throughout an entire village in Southern India, roughly 100 homes worked on piecing the fabric for these garments together, providing employment and supporting the continuance of this tradition that holds an expected life-span of only 10-15 years. The Poet Series styles are destined to become vintage due to the rare exclusivity of hand-loomed fabrics in modern times.

Stunning dress!

Im 5ft 10 UK 10 and went for a Medium. Could potentially have also taken a Small as they are roomy but that's the style and I am very happy with the bluson look. So chic! The fabric is to die for- light and airy and so comfortable to wear. Ive already loved wearing this in the hot UK weather we've had lately with bare legs and sandals but cant wait for more autumnal weather where I'm gonna add boots and a chunky knit. So gorgeous Love all my DoI dresses and the fact you are helping to preserve such an ancient tradition and they are so sustainably made ❤️ Thank you xx

Subtle print, maximum comfort - chic!

This dress is absolutely divine on. It's a thicker DOI fabric than some of the other dresses I've ordered, but the plaid and long sleeves make this a good combination for the chillier days/times of year when you still want to be in a big flow dress. I got a small, it's true to size and I'm very happy with it. I wear it a lot, and will wear it long into the fall and likely even the winter with some layers underneath.
