Handmade in India

Celebrating our slow fashion ethos, Nora is an ode to the art of handmade. Beginning with four wood blocks intricately hand-carved to create two traditional jaal and buti floral designs, skilled artisans then use the blocks to slowly and carefully hand print delicate pink hues upon the softest cotton voile. Tiers of printed fabric have then been gracefully layered and finished with mother-of-pearl buttons from bodice to base, forming this free flowing feminine style lovingly hand-crafted by a small group of women in Jaipur, India.

*Please note due to this style's production process taking several months to create, each Nora maxi dress is completely unique and one-of-a-kind and is only available in extremely limited quantities.*

Material ~ 100% Cotton. This style features an underlining, covering the bodice to the base of the second last tier on the maxi length skirt.

Garment Care ~ We recommend a gentle, cold water hand wash using natural detergents, and hang drying in the shade. Handcrafted garments are delicate, however, designed to last when treated mindfully with love and care.

The piece I've had my eye on for months!

This was the first dress I ever saw from DOI, quite a long time ago. The sponsored ad got me haha. It was sold out for so long until the recent restock, where I IMMEDIATELY jumped on it and bought one! I was absolutely thrilled when I received it and haven't been disappointed since. Of my 5 DOI dresses, this one definitely gets the most wear. It's just as gorgeous as I imagined it would be and I just about always receive compliments where I wear it! I'm still giving this 5 stars, but a fabric loop around one of the top buttons broke upon my second wear. It's an easy fix, I just haven't done it yet. That being said, be mindful when buttoning or unbuttoning this dress!
