Lalika presents a classic pinafore style crafted from a rare and exclusive hand-loomed textile in stunning shades of burgundy, tan, cream and magenta. Showcasing the beauty of true hand-craftsmanship, the mismatched plaid design features a bustier shaped corset and criss-cross open back flowing into an A-line midi length skirt, a hip-to-bust zip in the middle of the back and tan cotton underlining for added comfort.

Material ~ 100% Hand-loomed Cotton with 100% Cotton Lining.

Garment Care ~ We recommend a gentle, cold water hand wash using natural detergents, and hang drying in the shade. Handcrafted garments are delicate, however, designed to last when treated mindfully with love and care.

Ethically handmade with love in India, the creation of this garment serves to support local traditions and the preservation of the ancient artistry of handloom weaving.

Versatiile

I like this dress. The Lalika fits smaller than the other dresses I have from DoI. I purchased a medium whereas in the Chaaya, for example, I have an extra small. It is not a snug fit but the small would have been too small. However, this means that I can wear a tee shirt underneath the dress if I choose which adds to its versatility.

Pumpkin spiced clovelyness

It has a really comfortable fit with the cross back that doesn’t sit right under your armpit. It’s quite small in the bust but average at the waist.
